Ready to make a difference this summer? Join the Junior Counselor Program and build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while making a real impact! As a Junior Counselor, work alongside experienced mentors, help lead fun camp activities, and serve as a positive role model for younger campers. This high-energy, hands-on program is the perfect mix of learning, laughter, and leadership – all while creating memories that last a lifetime. It requires a doctor's signature, so please allow enough time for it to be finalized before the start of camp.
Step 1: Register for Training (Required) Registration begins February 4, 6pm.
Training courses are offered during spring break and during the summer. Location of training is subject to change based on HCPSS availability. Attendance of same year training is mandatory, no exceptions.
Step 2: Sign Up for Interview (Required)
Acceptance into the program is based upon a successful interview prior to training day(s). After you have completed Step 1, you will receive the interview sign up information via email. *Registration fee refunded if applicant is not accepted into the program.
Step 3: Register for Field Experience (Required) Registration begins March 25, 8am.
Not every summer camp we offer is a field experience placement, but we have hundreds that are! Choose from a variety of camps (list will be provided), teens may choose a minimum of 2 but are free to choose more. Based on availability, field experiences are offered as first come, first served. Fees range from $25-$150 for a field experience. Fees vary based on half-day week, full-day week, or multi-week. *Registration fee refunded if applicant is not accepted into the program.
