LaPS: Leadership & Performance for Strings (All ages, by audition) This community program provides unique opportunities to string players to develop their musical skills while growing as leaders and performers. Open by audition to all ages of violinists, violists, cellists, string bass players, and pianists. Students in the Leadership and Performance Project will be offered weekly masterclasses, chamber music coaching, rehearsals with our staff accompanists, and performance opportunities. Each year Concerto Workshops will give our students the incomparable experience of playing solos with full orchestras. Seminars will also be offered in music theory, leadership in both orchestral and chamber music settings, and technique classes for each specific instrument. Recitals will be available to all students to regularly perform solos and chamber music. Please contact the OCSAC office to schedule a placement audition and for further information. 30-week school year Tuesdays 4:45-6:15 p.m. and selected Saturdays, $895* annual tuition *Merit and need based scholarships available $100 deposit paid at registration. The Arts Center Registrar will contact you regarding a tuition payment plan once scholarships have been determined.
