About This Activity
Afterschool until 4 PM in the Cafeteria. FREE Thanks to the generous support of the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts! Join this fun, art-making class as a creative & empowering way to express yourself and your emotions. Take care of yourself by identifying and expressing emotions to cope with or even transform them. You’ll learn to use new materials and techniques that will spark your creativity! Join this relaxed, judgement-free zone where you can just be YOU! For kids with all interests. No art, music or writing experience necessary. We encourage BIPOC & LQBTQIAA+ students to participate. Note for parents/guardians: At least one social-emotional competency is embedded in every lesson including: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, social awareness, & relationship skills. There may be therapeutic effects, but this is not intended to be group therapy or counseling.
