About This Activity
The four-week Summer Math Institute provides students exposure to a variety of math concepts based on an overarching theme. Students will be exposed to as many topics each week as is achievable in a fun and interactive experience. In this particular week, centered around Ratios and Rates, students will work on concepts such as equivalent ratios, simplifying ratios, unit ratios, double and triple ratios, unit rate, converting rates, proportional relationships, using rates in problem solving, solving proportions, applications or proportions, converting between percentages and fractions/decimals, and percentage increase and decrease. Participation in multiple weeks is encouraged.
