About This Activity
The four-week Summer Math Institute provides students exposure to a variety of math concepts based on an overarching theme. Students will be exposed to as many topics each week as is achievable in a fun and interactive experience. In this particular week, centered around Equation Solving and Pre-Algebra Concepts, students will work on concepts such as whole number operations, solving one-step equations, solving two-step equations, solving equations with variables on both sides of the equal sign, solving equations involving fractions and decimals, combining like terms, equation review, solving equations involving combining like terms, perimeter and area problems involving algebraic expressions, and pre-algebra problems involving fractions and decimals. Participation in multiple weeks is encouraged.
