About This Activity
Campers will discover and learn about a variety of simple (but complex) edible plants and various options on how to grow them. Lessons will explore the links between botany, ecology, sustainable growing techniques, and food security. We will explore soil, appreciate the power of seeds, learn about worms, plant plants, and experience the garden as a laboratory for growing. Teamwork across ages is encouraged and supported in this hands-on active exploration of how to grow our own food wherever we are. *PLEASE NOTE* In observance of Juneteenth, there will be no camp on Thursday, June 19th. The cost of the camp has been adjusted accordingly.
