About This Activity
Description
This class teaches stroke development. Students will learn: headfirst entry from the side in compact and stride positions; swim under water; feet first surface dive - submerge completely; survival swimming; front crawl and backstroke open turns; tread water using two different kicks; front/back crawl will be improved upon, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, will be introduced.
There will be no classes the week of March 29-April 4 due to DPS Spring Break. The classes will still run for four weeks, with a week break during that time.
