| Info: Justin Smith, 410-313-2765 or jcsmith@howardcountymd.gov. Make a splash this summer enjoying local competition while improving endurance and the four basic strokes. The team practices four days per week and competes in five-to-seven Saturday morning meets in the Prince-Mont Swim League (PMSL). Practice groups and times are based on the mandatory skill evaluation required for all swimmers. The skill evaluation dates are sent out via email once team registration is closed. Attendance at practices and swim meets is mandatory. Swimmers who do not attend practices or meets may be removed from the team without refund. Practice times and meet schedules are announced at the Parents Meeting. This meeting is mandatory for all parents, and the date are sent out via email. Fee includes t-shirt, swim cap and special events. Swimmers must purchase the current uniform suit. Swim Team banquet will be held after All-Star meet. *Meet officials and meet volunteers are needed! Officials must attend PMSL training (dates are announced at parent meeting) and officiate all home and away meets to receive reduced rate for child. Meet Volunteers must attend and volunteer at all regular season meets to receive reduced rate for child. * Pre-requisites 1. 50 yards freestyle with rotary breathing AND 2. 50 yards backstroke AND 3. 25 yards breaststroke 4. 100 yards of continuous, combined swim (free, back, breast) |
Parents are required to check in their child each class and remain in the pool area for the duration of the class. Drop off is not permitted for participants under the age of 16. Participants MAY NOT enter the water without Instructor present.Note: A skill evaluation will be conducted on the first day of class to ensure all participants meet the pre-requisites of the class.In case of inclement weather (thunder/lightning/snow), please call (410) 313-2764 and ask a front desk representative the status of your lesson.No individual make-up lessons and/or refunds are given for missed classes. Only register for sessions that you are available for. Please reach out in ADVANCE with any withdrawal (refund) requests.
