About This Activity

Description

YMCA Parent/Child Basketball (Ages 2-3)
Play, move, grow! Children enjoy quality bonding time with their parents and loved ones in this interactive class. Surrounded by a nurturing environment and bursting with fun, young tots get active through a series of engaging activities and games designed to encourage learning, develop motor skills and promote social interaction. This class balances structure and free play stations for an exploratory experience through a child's introduction to basketball fundamentals including foundational concepts of bouncing, catching, passing and shooting the ball.
Activities are adapted to age-appropriate equipment and movements that most closely introduce children to the enjoyment of the respective fitness and sport component.
Financial assistance is available for McGaw Y members.
