At McGaw YMCA’s Summer Day Camp, we promise unforgettable experiences that incorporate a variety of choice-based enrichment activities such as archery, fishing, arts & crafts, sports, group games, team building, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and more.
The Location of Summer Day Camp is currently TBD.
We offer flexible options for families registering for Summer Day Camp. Register for the full 10 weeks of summer, or choose individual weeks. Sign up by May 15 to get the best rates. Rates are discounted for McGaw Y members!
This is a deposit program to register your child for camp and to pay the initial deposit required. The deposit will be applied towards your overall camp fees due. Once registered, our admissions team will follow up with you to confirm your enrollment and provide you with additional paperwork and program information.
Registration DatesRegistration opens for 2026 Summer Day Camp on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Payment InformationDay Camp registration requires a non-refundable, non-transferable $25 deposit per week, per camper.
Full payment for each camp week is due according to the following due dates:
Weeks 1 & 2: April 3, 2026Weeks 3 & 4: April 17, 2026Weeks 5 & 6: May 1, 2026Weeks 7 & 8: May 15, 2026Weeks 9 & 10: May 29, 2026
Payment must be received by the due dates. If registering for a week after the due date, full payment is due immediately. Campers will not be allowed to start with a balance due.
Waitlists are started when a camp session is filled. There is no fee for a wait list registration. If your child is offered a space, the deposit will be due immediately and/or full payment will be assigned if the due date has passed.
Summer Day Camp families will receive a 2nd child discount of $25 per week for each additional child also enrolled in Summer Day Camp or Full Day at the Children’s Center. The discount applies to the lowest fee/tuition rate.
Financial AssistanceScholarships are available to families with documented financial need. We also accept state-subsidized child care assistance programs. If you are applying for a scholarship, or if you are approved for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) or DCFS assistance, please complete and submit a paper camp registration form in order to pay the reduced camp deposit.
Late Registration FeesBeginning May 16th, a late registration fee of $25 per week will be applied at the time of registration.
Special Needs and AccommodationsWe are fully committed to the participation of all individuals in our programs, and will make every effort to meet your child’s needs based on our available resources. Please contact Andrea Hillsamer at 847.475.8580 ext 313 to discuss possible options prior to registration.
Billing & Paperwork InformationFamilies who are not signed up for automatic draft will be sent a payment reminder five (5) days prior to each full payment due date. All reminders will be emailed to the Registering Parent/Guardian’s email address provided at the time of registration. We are unable to send invoices to multiple email addresses.
Camp enrollment packets and other informational materials will be sent to the parent’s email provided at the time of registration. The enrollment information includes required state licensing forms as well as information about camp (what to bring, camp expectations, etc.). Enrollment paperwork packets must be completed by May 1. If registered after May 15th, 2026 all paperwork is due by the Wednesday prior to the start of the week of camp.
