Six IN-PERSON Sessions Join us as we delve into the lives and music of classical composers who were born in America. During the six weeks, you'll get to know Charles Ives, Samuel Barber, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland. Our final composer, John Adams, is still composing music now. These musical giants have had their music played by the best orchestras in the U.S. and the world, and we'll discover why their music has been such an important part of American life. As usual, a special feature of our classes will be looking at what made them the composers they became and why their music, some of which was written over 125 years ago, is still being played in the concert halls across our nation. We'll also listen to some of their music. I bet you had no idea they were the composer that wrote it. In today's world of politics, this will be music that will make you proud and stir your emotions. Steve Coldiron has been teaching BULLI classes for many years. He is most recently the “Voice of the Brenau University Golden Tigers." He is the public address announcer for soccer, volleyball, JV and varsity basketball, and softball and lacrosse.
