THIS CAMP REQUIRES AN INSTRUCTOR RECOMMENDATION. Only offered at our Wollochet Bay location. Please review our Program Selection Chart if you’re unsure which camp to sign up for: https://gigharborjuniorsailing.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/GHJS-Program-Selection-Chart-landscape.png ILCA Advanced Sailing is designed for sailors ages 12-18 who have progressed beyond our Intermediate camps and are ready for a greater challenge. Sailors who have not GRADUATED from Teen Intermediate should not take this camp. Sailors will be introduced to advanced boat handling techniques and racing skills in a highly-responsive Laser one-person sailboat. Participants should be comfortable sailing at high speeds and in close proximity to other boats. Please note all sailors at this level complete a capsize (tip over) recovery test the first day of camp. This is for safety purposes, and will be coached and supported by staff.
