About This Activity
The c420 race team is designed for committed sailors who are ready to push themselves competitively. Sailors must: -commit to attending practices and events to participate in the c420 program -Purchase a trapeze harness (crews) and participate in safety training -Demonstrate maturity Varsity Race Team is designed to offer a competitive program to sailors who wish to participate in local and national regattas. The team practices on weekday evenings and participates in regattas on weekends. The team offers growth focused practices to help participants gain life skills like self confidence, self reliance and problem solving. A range of skills levels are welcome on the team. If you are ready to work hard, learn new things, make friends, and have a great adventure the team would be a great fit for you. Varsity Fleets - Require consistent participation 420 Spinnaker and Trapeze - This is a partner boat where sailors will build skills using spinnaker and trapeze. Sailors who choose this boat should be experienced, or committed to sailing the full summer season. Laser Radial & Laser 4.7 - The Laser Radial fleet is the largest and most competitive fleet in the circuit. This is a good fit for sailors who would like to develop skippering skills and who want to push themselves during the season. Sailors may begin in the 4.7 to build skills, or if they are still growing into the Laser.
