Participants must meet the following requirements to enroll:• Minimum Age: Must be 15 years old by the first day of class. (This prep course is designed to prepare students for the full American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification, which requires age 15.)• Comfort in Deep Water:Participants should be comfortable swimming in deep water without fear or hesitation.• Basic Swimming Ability: Ability to swim 25 yards continuously using a front crawl or breaststroke with consistent forward movement.• Breath Control & Endurance: Must be able to: o Tread water for 2 minutes. o Submerge underwater and retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool (4–6 feet).• Physical Readiness: Participants should be prepared for moderate physical activity, including repeated entries, surface dives, and swimming drills.Participants must meet the following requirements to enroll:• Minimum Age: Must be 15 years old by the first day of class. Must be able to enter and exit the pool.

Location
Meet at the red barriers in front of the women's locker room. The instructor will take attendance there and escort you to the poolside. Classes are held in the shallow end of the 25-yard pool.
