About This Activity
Description
This is a basic skills class.This level orients young preschoolers to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatic skills, such as entering and exiting the water, blowing bubbles, floating, gliding and kicking on their fronts and backs. Skills are performed with the instructor's assistance.
Prerequisite: ability to participate in a physical activity and follow instructions in a group setting.
Passing Requirements: Enter the water independently, travel five yards, submerge mouth and blow bubbles for at least three seconds. With assistance, glide on front for two body lengths, roll over and float on back for three seconds, then stand up.
No refunds; credit on account may be offered when appropriate.
Children who are not toilet trained must wear plastic pants or swim diapers. Parents may watch in the Learner pool area on the first and last day of the lesson set.

Meet at the red barriers in front of the women's locker room each day. The instructor will take attendance and then escort the class to the Learner pool.
