Velo Kids and Ottawa County parks have partnered to provide adventure-based, half-day bike camps teaching youth mountain bike safety, skills and confidence through education, fun and many adventures on bikes! June 19-23 - Mountain Bike Camp Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Riley Trails, Tuesday at Pigeon Creek & Thursday at Upper Macatawa Trails 9am-11:30am Bike Rides to: Tunnel Park, Bowerman Blueberry, and more! 9 students & 2 coaches per group Summer Bike Campers: -Explore their town and local trails on their bike and discover its excellent places. -Learn how to bike safely and bike smart around town with their friends. -Develop bike repair and maintenance skills. Know how to change a flat or adjust your brakes. -Learn and practice stewardship for our trails, parks and our community. -Meet new friends, be active, have FUN, and enjoy the great outdoors! -Will receive a Velo Kids Bike Camp t-shirt. Bike Camp Requirements: -Positive attitude -Able to comfortable ride 3-4 miles (1st- 2nd grade), 5-6 miles (3rd-4th grade) and 7-8 (5th-6th grade) -Camper must be comfortable and independent on two wheels (no training wheels) -A functioning mountain bike for Mountain Bike Camps
