About This Activity
Description
A fun 8 week, two hour swim session designed specifically for individuals with a disability or special need. Session consists of 45min/1 hours of group swim lessons followed by a 1 hour open swim.The beginner swim lessons focus on getting participants familiar and comfortable in the water (i.e. floating, face in water, head under water, kicking) and take place in the shallow pool at Pawley.
*A parent or caretaker may be required to be in the pool with the participant to provide hands-on assistance due to social distancing guidelines. These details will depend on the COVID protocol on place during lessons.*
Family members are welcome to join in the fun during the Open Swim segment of the program.

This class is for individuals with disabilities or special needs . A Therapeutic Recreation form is required to be submitted prior to the class start date. This paperwork can be completed at a community center front counter, or downloaded from the website.
