About This Activity
No class 2/20 &4/2. This course prepares students for a variety of academic and non-academic situations in which public speaking is required. Topics will include cultural conventions and speech, perceptions of others, verbal and nonverbal messages, and techniques of oral presentation and persuasion. Students will learn how to research, outline, and deliver short, formal and informal presentations as well as longer speeches. Students should expect to write for homework to deliver speeches in class. (Poetry, impromptu, SPAR/debate, Original Narrative)
