Continue your leadership journey as you learn advanced camper engagement techniques, activity facilitation, and the behind-the-scenes magic of camp operations. While you help to make this week a success for younger campers, you’ll also enjoy time with your unit doing classic camp activities. All campers who want to participate as CITs must be entering grades 9-12 and complete an introductory interview with GSSD staff after registration. New CITs must participate in a CIT training week, held during the second week of day camp or first and second sessions of sleepaway camp. Campers who participated as CITs in past years are not required to attend a training week. For Sleepaway Camp, Counselors-in-Training who have completed all of the prerequisites may register for a “CIT I” or “CIT II” session based on your level. Note: Completion of a CIT I program is a required prerequisite to register as a CIT II.
