About This Activity

Description

At the YMCA, our goal is to create a healthy respect for water to keep youth safe while creating a lifelong love of aquatics environments. Accompanied by a parent or trusted adult*, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim readiness skills through fun and confidence-building swim lessons experiences. At the same time, parents learn about water safety, drowning prevention, and the importance of supervision.

Infants and young toddlers will be introduced to the aquatic environment safely and comfortably to gain confidence and a healthy respect for the water. As students progress and grow, they begin to explore body positions, blowing bubbles and fundamental safety and aquatics skills.

*Parent or trusted adult must participate in the water with child during the class.

No class will be held during the week of August 26th through September 1st for our Enhancement Week.
This is a Parent/Child Class.
All program withdraw or transfer requests must be received in writing before the 20th of the month prior to the program start date. After the 20th of the month, all credit and transfer requests are at the discretion of the program director.
