Water Polo Strong: Strength & Conditioning Clinic — Cool-Down & Recovery Mastery Date: November 8, 2025 Ages: 12–18 Overview A great athlete doesn’t just train hard — they recover smarter. This Water Polo Strong clinic focuses on how to cool down effectively to improve recovery, mobility, and long-term performance. Athletes will learn the science behind recovery, guided by Coach Xl, and leave with routines they can apply after every practice, game, or workout. What Athletes Will Learn The physiology of recovery: how to bring the body back to baseline Breathing and nervous system down-regulation strategies Mobility and stretching for shoulders, hips, and spine Foam rolling and self-myofascial release for improved tissue quality Active recovery, hydration, and post-training nutrition basics How to build a personalized post-training recovery checklist Clinic Format 2-hour hands-on session with demonstrations and coaching Guided breath work, mobility flow, and recovery circuits Take-home “Post-Training Recovery” checklist What to Bring Athletic clothes, foam roller (if available), yoga mat or towel, and water. Why It Matters Cooling down properly helps athletes recover faster, reduces soreness, and enhances readiness for the next session. This clinic empowers athletes to take ownership of their body’s maintenance and recovery process.
