Silver/Beginner Level Swim Team
Prior to class start: Swimmers on the Silver team should be able to swim 50 meters of freestyle with bilateral breathing. Swimmers should be familiar with all four strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.
The primary goals on this team are refining proper stroke technique and providing a foundation for proper swimming habits for the future. We build upon their current knowledge of all four strokes and briefly cover the correct starts and turns for each stroke. We practice improving a swimmer's endurance and fitness through conditioning. Swimmers should already be comfortable with taking direction from the coach who is on the pool deck and not in the water.
