Red Cross Learn to Swim classes are progressive classes for youths, ages 6 to 12 years old. The Level 3 class requires successful completion of Level 2 or equivalent skills, such as ability to submerge under water and hold breath for up to 5 seconds, independently maintain a floating position on both front and back for up to 5 seconds, independently turn body from front to back and back to front.
Skills introduced in this level include:
- Front crawl
- Breaststroke
- Elementary Backstroke
- Sidestroke
- Introduction to treading water
- Introduction to headfirst entries
NO CLASS 6/30 & 7/2.
