Preschool Level 2:
| Expectations: |
- 5-7 minutes at the beginning of each lesson is dedicated to safety topics and attendance
- The first few days will be spent reviewing skills already known and refining them
- Games and songs will be regularly used to make activities fun
- Toys will be intermittently used as aids as well as noodles, barbells, and other floatation devices
- Children will have 1 safety lesson devoted to lifejackets
- Most activities will take place 1 on 1 with the instructor meaning there will be down time while children wait their turn
- This class may go to the deep end
- Children will be encouraged to do some actions independently with the instructor closely monitoring

- Be ok with putting face in the water for short periods of time
- Front float with instructor help or flotation help
- Back float with instructor help or flotation help
- Kicking on the front and their back
- Scoopers while on the front

| What skills they will learn: |
- Bobs - where children submerge their entire head and resurface
- Back float with ears in, flat back, and completely still with instructor help or flotation help
- Front float with face in, flat body, and completely still with instructor help or flotation help
- Moving through the water by kicking and scooping independently of instructor with the help of a flotation device
- Jumping in
