At the Y, our youth soccer league helps 4 year-olds develop fundamental soccer skills while teaching teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Skills taught include passing, shooting, dribbling, and the rules of the game. The focus of our youth soccer leagues is to have fun, meet new friends, and play.
Practice and play only on Saturdays.
What Do I Need:
Please have your child bring:
- Soccer ball (size 3)
- Shin guards (mandatory)
- Athletic or comfortable clothes
- Tennis shoes or cleats (optional)
- Water bottle. Please clearly label all items you send with your child.
Spectators can bring a chair to use when watching the games or practices, as this will help and support the perimeter or out of bound area.
YMCA sports are based on seven guiding principles: everyone plays, safety first, fair play, positive competition, sports for all, sports for fun, and family involvement. Our leagues are supported by parent volunteers who are engaged as coaches, and raving fans.
If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Sandra Reierson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 727-559-0500. There is also an area for you to indicate your volunteer interest when you are registering your child.
Any additional question please contact member services at 727-559-0500.
