Description
Stage 5 (Stroke Development):
Students in this stage work on stroke techniques and learn all major competitive strokes. The emphasis on water safety continues through treading water and resting strokes. Students focus on developing stamina in the front and back crawl and development of breaststroke and butterfly.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be able to swim any stroke or combination of strokes for 25 yards, front crawl with rotary breathing for 15 yards, swim back crawl for 15 yards and butterfly kick for 15 yards. Be able to perform a seated dive, resting stroke for 15 yards and tread water for 1 minute using scissor and whip kicks.
What Do I Need:
Bathing suit, towel, and goggles (recommended)
