Description
LARPD is excited to announce some new updates to our swim lesson program! Swim Lessons will be separated by age groups as we adopt a new “Ages and Stages” lesson curriculum. Each group will work towards safety and swim benchmarks to achieve water competency and safety goals. The benchmarks covered by all age groups include water readiness and trust, body position, air exchange, forward movement, direction change, streamlines, side breathing position, and water competency. Our skilled instructors will be able to make accommodations for students based on their readiness to complete skills. Participants will practice these skills through various entertaining learning activities in a safe and fun environment.
Classes will take place Monday and Wednesday at the May Nissen Swim Center. There will be no class on Memorial Day (5/27/24).
Due to high demand of LARPD swim lessons, we will not be allowing back to back time slot registration. Please only register for one timeslot per session.
