The department of Communication Sciences and Disorders will be providing an intensive phonological awareness and literacy camp for incoming kindergarten through 2nd grade students who are presenting with difficulty in beginning reading or are at-risk for difficulty with beginning reading. We will be having fun while focusing on the building blocks of reading: literature awareness, syllable awareness, rhyme awareness, segmenting and blending as well as reading fluency and language comprehension. Daily Schedule: 1:00 Welcome 1:15-2:15pm - LINC lessons (Language in the Classroom) 2:15-2:30pm - Phonological Awareness/Language Activities 2:30-3:00pm - Snack 3:00-3:25pm - Phonological Awareness/Language Activities 3:25-3:50pm - Phonological Awareness/Language Activities 3:50-4:00pm- Clean up 12:00pm - Dismissal
