About This Activity
Description
Does your child have a passion for dance? This is the class for them! In this encouraging environment, students expand their dance education through technique instruction, group work that focuses on team building skills, and performance experience that helps build self-confidence. Performance Ensemble focuses on three styles of dance ? Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Time dedicated to ballet will include classical and lyrical dance. It will improve posture, balance, and grace. During the jazz section of class, dancers will move to current and classic music while exploring many different styles of Jazz ? funk, Broadway, and of course hip-hop! Tap work will concentrate on rhythmic tap exercises and center floor patterns with a focus on clarity, speed, style and terminology. Performance Ensemble Dancers will have a blast as they challenge their abilities, gain self-confidence and get a great dance workout in this 90-minute non-competitive class. This class participates in three routines in the Recital including our featured Ensemble production routine and is given the opportunity to perform for the community.
