"Some of the most exciting science is invisible—you can’t always see it, but you can definitely test it! Campers become junior investigators as they explore forces that make the world work through playful, hands-on experiments. Throughout the week, campers explore sound by making vibrations they can hear and feel, and they experiment with magnets to see how magnetic forces can pull, push, and attract through different materials. They’ll also investigate buoyancy by predicting what will float or sink, then testing objects in water and noticing patterns. Campers practice using science tools like careful observation, comparing results, and sharing what they notice with the group. They’ll also meet an isopod and learn how decomposers help break down dead material and keep ecosystems healthy. By the end of camp, learners will strengthen early inquiry skills, vocabulary, and confidence experimenting with cause-and-effect."
