"Every great scientist starts as a curious quester! Campers explore the world through hands-on investigations that build early science skills like noticing, sorting, and testing ideas. Throughout the week, campers learn different ways to categorize what they see as they collect safe nature items and sort them by color, texture, size, and shape. They’ll explore mixtures by experimenting with color mixing and testing what happens when oil and water meet. Campers become “rock sorters” as they compare different rocks and practice using science words to describe them. They’ll also investigate wind and evaporation through playful experiments, discover how some plants use wind to spread seeds, and even make a cloud-like model. By the end of camp, learners will strengthen observation, vocabulary, and early problem-solving skills while practicing how to share what they noticed like real scientists. Campers will also head outside for guided nature observations to practice real-world field skills." *Please note that camp will NOT be in session on Friday, June 19th, due to the holiday weekend.
