"Water is full of surprises—from the way it moves to the life it supports. Campers explore water as both a special substance and an important habitat through hands-on experiments and outdoor discovery. Throughout the week, campers investigate the properties of water by dripping, spraying, freezing, heating, and mixing it to observe how water changes and why it behaves the way it does. They’ll explore the local watershed, look for signs of water moving through the environment, and connect their experiments to real ecosystems. Campers will also meet live aquatic animal ambassadors and compare how different organisms are adapted to life in water. By the end of camp, learners will better understand water in different states and will strengthen skills in observation, measuring, and describing cause-and-effect. Campers will also head outside for guided nature observations to practice real-world field skills."
