Maximum Velocity Swim Camp is a stroke technique based camp to help current swimmers perfect their technique of all 4 strokes, turns, and starts. The campers will be in the water twice daily, eat meals at Liberty University dinning hall, stay overnight in the dorms, and enjoy night time camp activities led by the camp counselors. For additional fees we offer opportunity for a 30 minute one on one session with a college coach. New Offering this year Art of Physical Therapy is offering the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) at Maximum Velocity Swim Camp to athletes (ages 12 and up) seeking a way to enhance their swimming performance. The screen looks at seven body weight movements (ex. squatting and shoulder mobility) and identifies if the athlete has any mobility and/or stability limitations that can impact their stroke efficiency, power, and injury risk. Each swimmer will receive personalized feedback and corrective strategies designed to improve their movement quality, ultimately leading to faster and more efficient swimming! Ranndi Bitner a former Division I swimmer at Liberty University and now a Doctor of Physical Therapy, brings a combination of athletic experience and movement science to the pool deck. Ranndi's approach focuses on helping swimmers move efficiently, preventing injuries, and building strength and power through sport-specific training. As the owner of Art of Physical Therapy (AoPT), Ranndi has had the opportunity to work with club swimmers, collegiate swimmers, and National team members. she looks forward to being back in Lynchburg to help your child grow in and out of the water!
