About This Activity
Beginning Acting students will use the basics of acting (body, voice, and imagination) to create characters, develop confidence, and work as an ensemble. As an ensemble, the students will create a play together based on the theme of the class, develop a character, and perform for family and friends. In this process based program, students will: build acting, performance, & theater skills, participate in a collaborative process, gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community, practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance, take risks in a supportive environment, & learn from mistakes. We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register, though this program is tailored for beginners. CAP: 15.
