Performers will think fast, take risks and work as part of an ensemble. Using short form and long form improvisation, students will develop characters, scenes, and situations through listening and responding in the moment, remaining open to the suggestions and ideas of others, and pulling comedy from the world around them. In this process based program, students will: build acting, performance, & theater skills, participate in a collaborative process, gain confidence, empathy, & a sense of community, practice communication, flexibility, focus, & perseverance, take risks in a supportive environment, & learn from mistakes. We welcome students of all experience and ability levels to register, though this program is tailored to students who have some acting experience. CAP: 15.
