Mixed-Level Metalsmithing Instructor: Spencer Lawson Day: Tuesday Time: 6:30-9:00pm Dates: Session I—Feb 1-Mar 8 (6 weeks); Session II—Mar 29-May 3 (6 weeks) Cost: $165 (register for both sessions by Feb 1 and receive $15 off) No prior metals experience needed. Beginning students are giving an introduction to the basics of metalsmithing (forging, riveting, stamping, soldering, and the proper use of metal tools) and more experienced students advance their skills under instructor guidance. During this 6 week course we will be using copper and brass to make name plates, brooches, pendants and small scale sculpture. Enameling will be introduced in the second session. Ages 16+.
