Maricopa Team Sports has offered recreation youth soccer for over 10 years and is proud to create a safe, fair, and fun environment. During this season your player will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, skills development, and most of all have fun meeting other players the same age.

Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Maricopa, AZ 85138Days & Times: See options in “Custom Questions” upon enrollmentTeam Rosters: Distributed to coaches by September 3rd - SaturdayCoaches: Assigned randomly based on availability.Coach Requests: The only player and coach requests allowed are for Volunteer Coaches. If you volunteer to become a Head Coach or Assistant Coach you will be able to request your child/children and one other player in that age division. The coach must select the player and inform staff of who they are adding.First Practice: September 19th-22nd, unless your coach informs you of a different date.Uniforms: Jersey will only be provided; no shorts or socks will be provided.Uniform Hand-out: September 26th to October 1st - These will be given to coaches to hand out to the team.First Game Day: October 8th - SaturdayPicture Day: October 15th – Saturday. There will be no games this day. These games will be played on the weekdays at night instead of practices.Ball Size: Size Four (4) Field Size: 40yards (L) x 30 yards (W) Goal Size: 10' W x 6.5' H
Players:• The preferred maximum team size is 10 players. Depending on the number of coaches this could be adjusted higher or lower.• The maximum number of players on the field per team at any one time is six (6).• The game is played with one Goalkeeper. Each Goalie can play a maximum of one quarter per game.• Substitutions are unlimited and are allowed at quarter end and half time, for injuries and during any dead-ball situation.• Playing Time: Each player shall play a minimum of 50% of the total playing time, regardless of skill level, as long as the child arrives prepared to play in the proper uniform, is not under disciplinary suspension, and is not physically handicapped due to illness or injury.
Referee:• A Referee will be assigned to the game. Two linesmen may be assigned to assist referee, but based on availability. If requested by coaches, rule infractions can be briefly explained to the players.
Duration of the Game:• The game shall be divided into four (4) ten (10) minute quarters.• There shall be two (2) minute breaks between quarters one and two, and between quarters three and four.• There shall be a half-time break of five (5) minutes between quarters two (2) and three (3).• Please be respectful and show up early to start the games on time. Games will have to end on time to accommodate the next team on that field.
Equipment Guidelines:Referees & Coaches will check the following before each game:• All players are required to wear soccer shin guards under socks and approved soccer cleats. No other sports cleats can be worn. Referees & Coaches will check for approved soccer cleats before each game.• Eyeglasses are required to be secure.• No jewelry or metal hair accessories may be worn during gameplay. Taping jewelry is not allowed.• No player will be permitted to wear anything in a game that could cause or aggravate the injury to either that player or any other player.• Orthopedic casts (hard casts) are permitted. The cast must be padded with a closed cell, slow recovery foam padding no less than ½ inch thick. Casts with a doctor’s release and approval may be accepted by the referee and City Staff. Splints with proper wrapping approval from the referee and City Staff.
Concussion Protocol:• Parent/Guardian will be called onsite for any suspected head injury immediately.• If a player is suspected to have a head injury the referees (Coaches) are instructed to stop play to allow for treatment/evaluation as needed.• If the player leaves the field of play for additional evaluation, a substitution can be made at that moment.• The player with the suspected head injury may not return to the game unless they receive written permission from their Health Care Professional (HCP).• Any coach or parent insisting on returning the player to the game without approved clearance will result in the referee, coach, or staff asking the parent and player to leave the game area.
Refund Policy: Full refunds will be issued up until September 4th. Any refund requests after September 4th will be refunded 50% of the Program Fee paid, due to administration and uniform costs.
