Supervisor: Christopher Seylar Please see camp description for complete description. During camp, students will work with staff members to learn the various aspects that comprise the backstage components of a production. Throughout their time, they will engage in design, build, organization, and technical elements. During the camp, they will be working alongside staff to build, paint, and craft sets, props, costumes and accessories. They will take leadership roles as they work backstage to prepare items for the production and then run the crew during the rehearsals and show. A stage crew member helps to move items around the stage and move elements needed during the production. Students will also learn the technical skills that are needed to support a production including sound design and implementation, lighting design and implementation, atmospheric products, cues, and communication systems. Students will work collaboratively with the cast as they learn how the two groups work together to make a production successful.
