Each day the students participate in word work, fluency, comprehension, phonics and/or phonological awareness through different texts. Each level may have a minimal homework assignment daily that reinforces previously taught skills. The goal of the program is to provide a relaxed opportunity for students to maintain skills and growth over the summer months. The program is not designed to accelerate or introduce new skills. If you have more specific questions about what the program entails, please contact your child's teacher, the instructional specialist at your child's school, or his/her school principal. There will be no formal assessment given during the reading booster session.
