This summer reading course, designed for 6-8th grade students, uses a project based learning format to provide readers an opportunity to further and/or prevent a slide in their literacy foundation. The course will employ four different reading strands (Word Meanings & Context, Understanding Text, Analyze Test, and Evaluate & Extended Text) to reach the needs of individual students, as well as encourage understanding and application of the grade level outcomes. This is the same class each period and session. Students are not to be enrolled in multiple times.
