Each player will be provided with a uniform top. Players provide their own gray shorts or pants, maroon belt, socks, gloves and bats. Helmets, catchers gear, umpires, softballs, pitching machine and league schedules are provided. Once coaches are identified and in place players will receive a phone call letting them know about the first practice. Teams will be part of the Chippewa Valley Girls fastpitch League. Games with area communities (Eau Claire, Bloomer, Chetek, Elk Mound, Seymour, and Cadott) will be played during the months of April, May, and June. These games may be played on any weeknight fields are available. Learning Outcomes: Participants will 1.) learn the fundamentals of softball, including conditioning, throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, defense and offense, 2.) have an opportunity to participate in competitive team games and 3.) have a opportunity for physical fitness, activity and socialization with peers.Registration deadline is March 2, 2026
*Dates are tentative due to spring weather conditions. We will have a schedule that might need to be adjusted as we get closer to the season start date.
The softball program relies on parent involvement for the program to operate successfully. Parent/volunteer coaches will be needed.
