About This Activity
Description
This course teaches the FUNdamentals of ice skating and provides the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, and speed skating. Six progressive levels introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns.Skaters will be broken up into smaller focus groups based on age and ability (Snowplow Sam 1, Basic 1, or Adult 1). All classes will be well-structured with the focus on proper skill development taught in a positive, FUN, and social environment. Skaters will progress at their own rate and advance after skill mastery is demonstrated.

Classes will take place at the Coyotes Community Ice Center located as 140 N Country Club Drive. Please dress in warm clothes (gloves, long pants, sweatshirt or jacket, etc.).
A transfer or refund (minus the non-refundable fee) will be provided up to seven days before the start of the activity.
*Non-Refundable Fees: All activities have an administrative fee included in the listed price (unless otherwise stated). This fee ranges from $2 to $10 per activity and is non-refundable.
Due to contracted instructors the Mesa Recreation Scholarship is not eligible for this class.
