About This Activity
Description
Help participants refine their performance of all six swimming strokes (front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke) and increase their distances. More head first entries and turns are introduced. Student should be able to swim multiple laps continuously by the end of the session. Flip turns on the front and back are also introduced.In order to pass Level 5, children must be able to complete the following skills:
- Shallow water dive to a glide, then begin to swim front crawl.
- Tuck surface five and pike surface dive.
- Front flip turn and breaststroke flip turn.
- Sculling.
- Front crawl and back crawl.
- Elementary backstroke.
- Breaststroke.
- Sidestroke.
- Butterly.
