About This Activity
Discovery is perfect for sailors ages 8-12 who are ready to build on their basic skills and gain more independence on the water. Discovery is also open to older sailors who are new to sailing. Discovery offers a mix of group instruction in the RS Quest with 2-3 peers and an instructor, as well as single-handed instruction in the Sail Cube. Sailors develop confidence, seamanship, and problem-solving skills while having fun on the water. As sailors progress, they are encouraged to take on more responsibility and refine their technique. Once ready, students may transition to Opti Green. Discovery is offered as a one- or two-week program in Polpis Harbor, Monday–Friday, with morning (9:15-11:45 AM) and afternoon (1:00–3:30 PM) sessions.
