About This Activity
Description
This is a tentative activity. Registrations will be accepted if it becomes official.
Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1 is a set of basic skills that help prepare infants and young children to become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim. The child must be at least 6 months old to participate in the course and a parent must accompany each child in the water and participate in the classes. Level 1 introduces basic skills to parents and children. Parents learn how to safely work with their child in the water, including how to appropriately support and hold their child in the water and how to prepare and encourage their child to participate fully and try the skills. Children receive an introduction to basic skills that lay a foundation for learning to swim. In addition, parents are introduced to several water safety topics. |
