Join Mr. Ballow and Mr. Erickson for the FIRST LEGO League Challenge Camp this year! This exciting robotics program is open to 3rd through 5th-grade students and is designed to inspire creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. In addition, we plan to form one or more competitive teams to compete in the 2026–2027 BIOGLOW™ season. Whether your child chooses to compete or not, this year will be packed with engaging activities. Kids will build, program, and explore using LEGO Spike Prime robotics kits, all while having a blast with their friends. The coaches are excited to guide participants through hands-on projects and introduce them to the fundamentals of STEM in a fun, interactive environment. LEGO robotics is a year-long camp that meets every Tuesday after school. While participants must sign up each trimester, priority is given to returning students. Participating in all three trimesters is highly encouraged but not required. New this year, we are hosting an optional open lab on Fridays, giving students a less structured, open-ended environment to explore the robots and attachments. A note on competing: While camp participants are not required to compete, any student planning to compete must participate in the weekly camp. Our competitive team will be formed from our most committed students, and we hope the Friday open labs will provide the extra time needed to get competition-ready.
