About This Activity
Roots & Rhythms is all about learning a new language and culture through moving, creating, and discovering! Join Ms. Zbarouskaya, a Harding third-grade teacher and a native Belarusian, to explore Russian language, traditions, storytelling, folk music, hands-on crafts, and cultural traditions. Daily activities include Cyrillic name art; learning basic language words such as colors, shapes, and simple phrases; exploring forest animal folklore; and participating in collaborative play, including traditional games played by children in Slavic countries. Come ready to have fun, try new things, and learn something new every day!
