About This Activity

Description

The Parent & Child Aquatic Program promotes water enrichment and aquatic readiness activities for children six months up to three years of age, along with their parent.

The instructor guided lessons teach parents how to interact socially with their children in an aquatic environment, have fun, and begin the ground work for basic swim skills-including blowing bubbles, jumping in and playing games. This course will prepare children for independent swim lessons that begin at age 3 (30 minute water sessions).

Prerequisites:

Child must be 6-36 months of age and accompanied by a parent or trusted guardian.

What Do I Need:

Swim diapers or rubber pants are required for any child not fully potty trained. Please be sure to change children in lockers/bathrooms. Child must wear a swimsuit at all times. We recommend a swim shirt to keep the child protected from the sun or cool weather.
