About This Activity
1 Friday, January 9, 5:00 - 8:00 pm Altered Apparel Taught by Sammi Madanat, 18+ $43 Member / $47 Non-member Ages 16+ This class features ways to alter existing apparel and accessories by combining techniques like bleaching, dyeing, embroidery and appliqué. The student will provide 2 or more items of apparel made of cotton or 50% plus cotton blend. At least on should be light in color and one should be dark. They don’t need to be black and white. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Sammi Madanat is a multimedia sculptor who specializes in clay and fiber. She has been teaching students of all ages for nearly 15 years in many different medium, including painting, sculpture, sewing, embroidery, stained glass and pop up books. She enjoys studying Art history and International art.
