About This Activity
3 Thursdays, June 18, 25 and July 2, 3:30-5:30pm Sculpture I Taught by Sammi Madanat, 18+ Explore the fundamentals of 3D art in this hands-on class designed to spark creativity and build skills. Students will learn both subtractive techniques (carving and removing material) and additive techniques (building and assembling forms), working with a variety of materials. Through guided projects and experimentation, participants will develop a deeper understanding of form, structure, and creative expression in three dimensions. (Please note that Sculpture I and II are separate, complementary classes and have no pre-requisites. Different projects and materials will be used in each class.) Instructor Bio: Sammi has been teaching art for 15 years to students of all ages. She received her BFA from U of DE. Her major area of interest is sculpture and multi media 2D art. She also enjoys experimenting with new mediums and old favorites because she believes play is the most important elements in creativity. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class.
